Today, the White Eagles U11 team played the last game of the regular season. Their opponent was Airdrie FC and at stake was a promotion to the Final Four.
The arrangement of the current indoor season’s schedule and results is interesting. In the last round as many as 3 teams fought a correspondence game between themselves for a place awarded with a promotion to play-off.
The U11 White Eagles game had a very exciting course. From the first whistle, our players started the game full of energy and were incredibly determined to succeed. It is safe to say that in the first half on the pitch, the boys from White Eagles U11 ruled and divided, resulting in a 3:1 result.
The second half only confirmed the dominance of our team, and the match ended with a 4:1 result giving promotion to the Final Four! Bravo!
Coach Grzegorz Rozek summarized the season as follows:
We are very happy to be promoted to the Final Four, mainly because we are probably the youngest team in this league and in fact, we have only 3-4 competitors from the U11 class, and the rest of the team is “supplemented” by boys by one, two or even three years younger! I think that regardless of the results in the semi-final and the eventual final, these boys can already feel like winners with progress they have made in the last 6 months. It would not be possible without their hard and conscientious work in training, and involvement in all games.
I also wanted to thank the parents, grandparents and siblings of the White Eagles U11 boys who created an amazing atmosphere in the stands throughout the season, and the spectacular cheering that they presented at the games is surely a sensation in all the leagues in Calgary.
